Cutdown Sweepstakes Rules

~ Cut Down Sweepstakes Rules ~


  1. To stimulate interest in showing purebred Cocker Spaniels, a Cut Down Sweepstakes shall be held in conjunction with and as a special class at the Cocker Spaniel Club of Orange County Specialty Show (or supported show.) The Cut Down Sweepstakes is not limited to members of the Club, but is open to all Cocker Spaniel Exhibitors.
     
  2. Classes will be divided by Sex and Variety.
     
  3. Length of hair cannot be longer than 2 inches on any portion of the body, with the exception of the ears where there is no length requirement. This will be STRICTLY enforced.
     
  4. Entry fees shall be determined by the Club. Entry monies received shall be distributed as follows after 25% has been deducted to defray expenses.
     
    25% Best in Cut Down Sweepstakes
    15% Best Opposite Sex to Best in Cut Down Sweepstakes
    15% Best Puppy in each Variety
    5% Best of Opposite Sex in each Variety
       
  5. If any prize monies are not awarded for any reason, they shall revert to the club.
     
  6. All dogs entered in the Cut Down Sweepstakes must be eligible for the regular classes of the show. Dog may be entered in the regular classes at the show but do not have to be entered in the regular classes at the show.
     
  7. The entry fee for each dog entered in the Cut Down Sweepstakes is stated on the entry form stating Cut Down Sweepstakes.
